Final Assignment:  Sister Wife

The format of the final assignment is a report looking at the polygamist family through the theory of functionalism.  The report should consider the following questions:

• How does the polygamist family function?
• What are the power./social relations between husband and wives?
• What are the potential dangers of such a familial system to Canadian society? to the Canadian family?
• What do supporters of such a system say in its defence?  what do those who oppose it say about the practice?

The report should be between 5 and 6 pages and have attached to it a report on your social science research project (this report resembles a science lab report).

Remember to cite work and include a bibliography.
